Wi-Fi Antennas

Wi-Fi is a wireless networking technology also known as the IEEE 802.11b standard. Its greatest advantage is the high transmission speed of up to 11 Mbit/s. In addition, it has a long effective range and is compatible with the various IEEE 802.11 Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) devices already available.

Wi-Fi technology is based on the IEEE 802.11a wireless network specification, and its maximum bandwidth can be up to 11Mbit/s. In the case of weak signals or interference, the bandwidth can be automatically adjusted to 5.5Mbit/s, 2Mbit/s, and 1Mbit/s, which effectively guarantees the stability and reliability of the network.

Wi-Fi wireless technology has the characteristics of high speed and reliability, and the communication distance in open areas can reach 305 m, and the communication distance in closed areas is 76-122 m. In addition, it is also convenient to integrate with the existing wired Ethernet, to reduce the cost of network formation.

Wi-Fi wireless network structure

Wi-Fi wireless network structure mainly includes ad hoc and infrastructure types. Among them, the “Adhoc” type is a kind of peer-to-peer network structure, in which computers only need to connect corresponding wireless network cards or portable terminals such as mobile phones with Wi-Fi modules to achieve mutual connection and resource sharing without the intermediate role of “access point” (AP). There is no need for an intermediary “access point” (AP).

“Infrastructure” is an application model that integrates wired and wireless LAN architecture. The network structure is similar to the star structure in Ethernet, through the wireless access point to play the role of intermediate bridge, to achieve the sharing of network resources. This application needs to be carried out through the access point.

Wi-Fi Antennas Manufacturer

C&T RF Antennas Inc. is the internal & external Wi-Fi antenna manufacturer in China.

Wi-Fi Antenna Frequency

The 802.11 standard provides several distinct radio frequency ranges for use in Wi-Fi communications: 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz, 3.6 GHz, 4.9 GHz, 5 GHz, 5.9 GHz, and 60 GHz bands.

2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi Antennas

There are three main different types of antennas: Directional-, omnidirectional– and sector antennas. The main difference is the beam width.

There are essentially two different frequency bands with which a WiFi network can work. The 2.4 GHz and the 5 GHz frequency band.

The 2.4 GHz frequency band according to IEEE802.11b/g/n is still the current standard.

The 5 GHz frequency band with the IEEE802.11a/n/ac standards is a bit more susceptible to interference, but offers much more channels than the 2.4 GHz frequency band and is therefore used more and more often. In addition, extremely high data rates are possible here.

WiFi Antenna is one kind of wireless antenna. The main operating frequency of WL AN is 2 4GHz and 5.8GHz.

WiFi Antenna (WL AN antenna) is installed on wireless devices like WLAN AP to reinforce signal strength.

The wireless device will radiate a signal in the air at a specified frequency 2. 4GHz or 5.8GHz through WiFi antenna/ WL AN antennas and allow other WL AN devices like NB or smartphone to get signal at the same frequency range.

WLAN or WiFi is based on IEEE 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11n standards. WL AN or WiFi provides a connection through a WLAN AP, and this technology allows people can be connected to the networks within a coverage area.

Wi-Fi Antenna Applications

Wireless LANs have become popular in a home and other indoor places because a WLAN access point is easy to get and easily installed. Today, the WL AN technology is used in many PCs, NB, smartphones, printers, security monitors, home theaters, and any devices which needed cable before.

C&T RF Antennas Inc. designs and produces lots of Wifi antennas or WLAN antennas like single-band 2.4GHz antenna and 5.8GHz antenna, and WL AN dual-band 2.4GHz & 5.8GHz wifi antenna which will boost the signal strength of WALN or WiFi router, WLAN access Point and WLAN PCI card.

The C&T RF Antennas Inc. is a provider of throughput-optimized antenna systems and performance validation services, enabling high-performance wireless connectivity globally for in-home, enterprise, and M2M applications.
