Directional Antennas

Directional Antennas Manufacturer

C&T RF Antennas Inc is the internal & external directional antennas sector antennas & Yagi antennas manufacturer, and the omnidirectional antennas manufacturer in China.

What is a directional antenna?

A directional antenna or beam antenna is an antenna that radiates or receives greater power in specific directions allowing increased performance and reduced interference from unwanted sources.

RF and microwave directional antennas are used in many different applications across multiple industries. Some directional antenna common uses include cellular networks, base stations, land mobile radio (LMR) applications, GPS systems, SCADA, critical response communication, and many others.

C&T RF Antennas Inc is your one source for your RF and microwave directional antenna needs.

C&T RF Antennas Inc’s directional antenna products include in-ceiling dome antennas, Yagi antennas, passive and active GPS antennas, patch, and panel antennas.

C&T RF Antennas Inc directional antennas offer low, medium, and high gain options with corresponding variations in beam width, from broad beam / low gain, to narrow beam / high gain antennas.

Directional antennas from C&T RF Antennas Inc operate at broad frequencies ranging from 400 MHz to 6 GHz and are designed to work within the L1, L2, ISM, GSM, WIMAX, Wi-Fi, UMTS, or dual-band cellular frequency bands.

Directional antennas send and receive signals in one direction only, usually in a tightly focused, very narrow beam. The signal pattern from a directional antenna has a cigar shape and looks the same from the top as from the sides. This shape is referred to as a lobe.

Directional antennas usually have small side lobes, which are typically ignored because they don’t do much for a signal. However, you should be aware that they exist in case you find a small signal off to the side of a directional antenna.

Directional Antenna Types

Directional antennas come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and designs that fluctuate widely according to their intended purpose. Common directional antenna designs include panel antennas, parabolic or “dish” antennas, sector antennas, grid antennas, and the Yagi antenna.

All of these antennas have different applications that are highly dependent on the particular setup.

Sector antennas are made to cover a wide pie-shaped area, or sector, of a circle. The width of the sector they cover typically ranges from 60 degrees to 180 degrees. They are usually used to provide specific regional coverage for broadcast areas of Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISP) or similar applications

Antennas with a directional radiating pattern, which send or receive signals from a specific direction as a function of the antenna design. Directional antennas can be designed with higher gain than their Omni-directional counterparts but must be more carefully aimed in order to work correctly.
