Patch Adhesive Antenna
The patch antenna is a popular microstrip antenna, also called a flat blade antenna.
Its name comes from the fact that it is formed by a metal patch suspended on another larger metal plate, with a dielectric plate between the two metal plates.
Some patch antennas use a dielectric spacer between two metal plates instead of a continuous sheet for better bandwidth.
There are several different types of microstrip antennas or printed antennas, but the most common type is patch antennas.
As the production and use of portable electronic devices increase, the demand for reliable and compact antennas increases. SMD microstrip antennas have met this need, and are now built into mobile phones, handheld electronic devices, and GPS receivers, as well as notebook computers and wireless local area network (LAN) devices.
Handheld computer
The patch antenna assembly is usually encapsulated in a protective white or black plastic shell, called a radome, in order to protect the antenna from bad weather and make it easier to install.
The patch antenna is thin, light in weight, and relatively simple in structure, modification, or customization. These antennas are usually made rectangular, square, oval, or circular.
Considering that patch antennae can easily mix into almost any background, patch antennas are usually hung on indoor ceilings and walls.
Because patch antennas are durable and can be designed to fit almost any shape, they are often installed not only on airplanes but also on spacecraft.
This directional antenna is also suitable for small single-story office buildings, shops, and many others without a central connection.
The indoor patch antenna of the entry point can also be used as an external antenna to increase the signal reception and transmission of wireless devices such as cellular phones and global positioning systems (GPS).
Although antennas come in many shapes, sizes, and types, they all work in the same basic way. The antenna is either used to receive electromagnetic waves and convert them into electric current or to convert electric current into electromagnetic waves and transmit them.
Usually made of some kind of metal, the structure of the antenna can range from a simple linear whip to many cars to a large dish reflector to receive satellite signals from outer space. Antennas are an important part of television, radio, radar systems, and various wireless communication equipment.
