Description
What is an MCX Coaxial Cable Connector?
MCX Coaxial Cable Connector / MCX (micro coaxial connectors) are coaxial RF connectors developed in the 1980s. They have the same inner contact and insulator dimensions as the SMB connector but are 30% smaller. MCX is standardized in European CECC 22220.
MCX connector
The MCX connector is a push-in connection structure with a small size and a convenient and fast connection. The characteristic impedance of the MCX connector is 50Ω and 75Ω.
Because the MCX connector uses a push-in connection, it makes the connection and separation of the connector very fast and shortens the installation time of the connector.
The MCX connector still has good electrical performance when the frequency reaches 6GHz, and can also be adapted to a variety of cables including semi-rigid cables and flexible cables, with a reliable connection and long life.
MCX Coaxial Cable Connector application

MCX Coaxial Cable Connector Advantages
1. Improve the production process
The connector simplifies the product assembly process. Also simplifies the mass production process;
2. Easy to repair
If an electronic component fails, the failed component can be quickly replaced when the connector is installed;
3. Easy to upgrade
With the advancement of technology, components can be updated when connectors are installed, and new and more complete components can be used to replace the old ones;
4. Improve design flexibility
The use of connectors allows engineers to have greater flexibility when designing and integrating new products and when composing systems with components.
C&T RF MCX connectors are built-in jack or plug genders in standard polarity or reverse polarity threads, with 50 Ohm impedance. MCX connectors are available in straight or right-angle versions, as well as, bulkhead, 2-hole panel, 4-hole panel, or mountless options.
These MCX connector designs include crimp/solder or solder attachment methods. We offer MCX connectors with standard or high-performance levels built with brass or stainless steel bodies.
