The FPC Antenna LTE 4G embedded antenna CTRF-ANTENNA-FPC-7027-6817-IPEX item is an Internal antenna 5/7dBi high-gain 4G flex PCB antenna manufactured by C&T RF Antennas Inc.
The Embedded Antenna High-performance 4G LTE Antenna comes with a 1.13 RF cable 100mm, Ufl/Ipex Connector, a 68x17mm flexible circuit board size, self-adhesive sticker directly mounted to the 4G terminals.
What is LTE RI?
RI is a rank indication.
RI is used to indicate the number of valid data layers for the PDSCH. It is used to tell the eNB the number of CWs (Code Word) that the UE can support now. This means RI=1, 1 CW. RI>1, 2 CW.
RI indicates the transport layer, the number that this UE can distinguish. Spatial multiplexing can be supported only if RI> 1. For spatial multiplexing, CQI is reported on a per-codeword basis. The maximum number of codewords in LTE is 2.
What is LTE PMI?
PMI is Precoding Matrix Indicator.
PMI is used to indicate the index of the set of codewords due to the application of MIMO technology for LTE with multiple antennas. In the baseband processing of the PDSCH physical layer, there is a precoding technique.
The precoding here is simply multiplied by various different precoding matrices. And this matrix can be used without feedback like TM3.
Or this precoding matrix can be determined by reporting PMI from the UE like TM4. In principle, this makes the PDSCH signal optimal.
There are many transmission modes TM for downlink, and in the R9 version downlink is defined from TM1 to TM8; where PMI feedback is required only in the case of TM4,6,8.
There are seven transmission modes in LTE, each of which corresponds to a certain multi-antenna technology.
For each transmission mode, CQI reports certain combinations on the basis defined in the specification, periodic/acyclic, wideband / UE-selected subband / higher-level configuration subband, and no PMI / single PMI / multi-PMI. because RI changes slower than CQI / PMI, it is reported with a longer time interval.
It is reported with CQI / PMI report on a non-periodic basis because PUSCH resources are limited.
