The 868MHz Coil Antenna Spring Helical Antenna CTRF-ANTENNA-SP-0868-1705 item is a 17×5.6mm small size Copper Coil Wire Spring Antenna Helical Antenna 868Mhz antenna manufactured by C&T RF Antennas Inc. It is a PCB mounting type internal antenna used for RF Modules and terminals.
The indoor helical antenna spring coil 868MHz antenna can be used for Lora & LoraWan, ISM applications.
How is the Spring Coil Helical Antenna made?
The helical antenna spring body comprises a carbon steel wire wound in a spiral shape, and the outer surface of the carbon steel wire is uniformly wrapped with a copper layer, and the thickness of the copper layer is 2 μm to 6 μm, and the conductivity of the carbon steel wire is 10% to 25%, and the tensile strength of the antenna spring body is 1000 MPa to 2000 MPa;
Since the carbon steel wire itself has strong tensile properties, the antenna spring in this application uses the carbon steel wire as a carrier, which makes the antenna spring have strong tensile and flexural properties;
The surface of the carbon steel wire is wrapped with a copper layer, which is less expensive and conducts electrical signals better than the existing technology, so the use of copper as the wrapping layer improves the antenna’s electrical conductivity and signal transmission performance;
By wrapping the carbon steel wire with a copper layer, the antenna can be directly welded to the PCB or the base with argon arc welding at the end of the antenna spring, which facilitates subsequent assembly.
