How to design an antenna?
Antenna Design
Generally speaking, a complete antenna design process will include the following steps:
1. Antenna demand analysis and decomposition
At this stage, you should know what antenna is used in what applications?
What are the antenna indicators required by customers under this scene?
Does the customer proposed have reasonable requirements? Is it possible?
Can you sacrifice which indicators properly?
Which indicators must be guaranteed?
If you have different customers to present other design demands, do you have any way to extract the most critical everyday needs, achieve normalization design to reduce antenna design costs?
2. Antenna Solution Analysis is waiting for you to learn the needs of customers. It is time to make specific antenna design solutions.
You can customize the antenna after the usage of the antenna be determined.
For example, if you need a low-profile antenna, usually choose a PCB/flexible PCB antenna;
If you need a base station antenna, which generally selects a dipole antenna;
If you do test antenna feeder, you will choose a horn antenna;
if you need to do miniaturization, then you may think of a media resonance antenna.
Specifically to a type of antenna, you want to control the S parameter bandwidth and Radiation Pattern of the antenna.
