Materials used to build this antenna have been selected with an emphasis on the best electrical and mechanical properties, and resistance against outside weather conditions. An equally important factor is the durability of these properties in the future.

Product description

For the dipole arms a hardened and prestressed copper line with a cross-section of 2,5sqmm and a harder PVC isolation is used.

On the box side of the dipole arm the wire is tipped with an eye for an M4 screw, made by ZES Dolny Kubin. It is also isolated by a shrink tube on both sides. The mechanical connection with the balun is done so using a simple wire loop secured with a wire clamp and, on the hanging rope side, a ceramic isolator (type 16C01 made by MFJ) is used.

The coil base is made from polypropylene tubing with an outer diameter of 40mm (~1,6 in.) and the coil is wound with a double enameled copper wire with a cross-section of 1,06sqmm.


The antenna balun (type 1:1, 400W PEP SSB) is placed in a waterproof box with  IP65 manufactured by SCAME (type 686.205). 

On both sides of the box are screws with closed hook ends  for mechanical attachement of the dipole wire arms; the screws are of size M5 for long lasting mechanical loads.

A more solidly made  SO239 panel connector is used, with POM diaelectricum, bolted to the box with anticorrosion steel screws and nuts.


The balun transformer is wound on a ferite toroid core type AMR R4 with the respective measurments of (outer x inner x height)36 x 23 x 15 mm.           


The arms of the dipole are electrically connected to the transformer through a pair of M4 stainless steel screws and nuts on both sides of the box.




The connector on the antenna serves only to electrically connect with the coaxial cable. For bearing the coaxial cable, use the attached   rope (with inner core made by LANEX).


Tuning of the antenna in the 20m band is done so by shortening the inner dipole arms (between the coils and the balun box). The 40 m band is tuned by shortening the end dipole arms (between the coils and suspension).

After the antenna is tuned, it is necessary to insulate the ends of the arms with shrink tubing to prevent water intrusion.


The warranty does not cover damage caused by overloading the balun with more power than specified on the balun`s label. Also, the warranty doesn`t cover damage caused to the balun by transmitting with an unmatched antenna. The warranty is set by EU consumer rights for 2 years.

In case of a complaint the customer will need to show his receipt/invoice so please keep your proof of purchase safe, because it also serves as the warranty certificate.
